Sweet deal for manufacturer

Simpkins, the UK's only travel sweet manufacturer has strengthened its eight year bond with Euro Disney by landing a deal to supply new lines to the global brand.
Sheffield-based Simpkins currently supplies Euro Disney with 50,000 tins a year from its bespoke range featuring iconic characters like Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh and Tinkerbell.
The latest edition in the range will be sugar free sweets, which will feature vibrant images of the much loved children's characters on the pocket sized tins.
Adrian Simpkin, managing director, said: "We are delighted that our Euro Disney range has been extended and we'll continue to keep the range as modern as possible with updated images and flavours".
The Euro Disney range is exclusive to Disney Land Paris.
Yorkshire is the country’s largest food-producing region. The region is home to more than 15,000 companies (the largest concentration in the UK), including some of the world’s biggest companies such as Asda and Aldi.
The Humber is responsible for a massive 60% of the UK’s fish processing output) while Yorkshire produces around a third of the UK’s beer. The region’s ethnic food cluster is growing at a rate of 15% a year while its speciality foods cluster is growing at around 35% (national growth is around 4%).
