Bradford project gets go-ahead

Yorkshire-based Landmark Development Projects has been granted planning permission for 50 homes and six light industrial warehouses in Bradford.
The five-acre mixed-use development will be located on Burnham Avenue in the city, with units ranging from 1,500 sq ft to 8,286 sq ft.
But the company said it could build one single unit of up to 50,000 sq ft if an occupier is sought for this alternative.
Richard Morton, from the Leeds-based firm, said: "This is a great step forward. Obtaining planning consent for a mixed-use development has its challenges, but we're confident we will deliver the best scheme for the area.
"The new industrial units in this location should prove attractive to a range of businesses, given its location and easy access to the surrounding motorway networks."
Leading UK property consultant GVA Grimley's principal surveyor Iain McPhail said: "This is an exciting development for Bradford and will bring a good mixture of residential and high specification industrial units which will be available on a lease or purchase basis.
"There is a high demand for commercial space of this kind especially as the development is flexible. We can build bespoke industrial space for occupiers from 1,500 up to 50,000 sq ft - it's a great opportunity for Bradford."
