Doncaster foundation degree given official backing
Montag, 27 April 2009
A new foundation degree offered at the University Centre Doncaster has been given backing by the Children's Workforce Development Council.
The qualification, which was launched in September last year, will now give employers the assurance it has been taken in accordance with the needs of the sector.
"Employers can now have full confidence in the professional underpinning of the course and students can be confident that their course incorporates the relevant skills required by employers," comments Suzanne Richardson, head of the faculty of education and professional development at University Centre Doncaster.
She adds that it spells "great news" for both the educational establishment and those involved in early years training throughout the borough.
The course is validated by the University of Hull and is aimed at those who wish to develop existing skills and knowledge.
Designer and author Adrian Shaughnessy recently turned up at the establishment to speak to graphic design students.
