Firm wins business continuity deal

Yorkshire-based ICM Continuity Services has won its largest contract to date, worth £19 million.
A London-based global financial services group awarded the deal to the company, which works out of Leeds and Wakefield.
The group will be able to use one of ICM's dedicated business continuity centres as its stand-by. The alternative facility will comply with the technology as well as voice and data systems being used in the London office.
Traders and support staff of the group will be able to access a permanently configured fail-over facility in case of a technological, office or environmental event, with the help of the deal.
The centre will be one of the largest dedicated facilities of the group to be located outside the capital.
ICM's managing director Mike Osborne said the company was "absolutely delighted" with the contract. He said: "It is great news for all of our 230 staff including those based in our Leeds office. It is also great news for Yorkshire that a locally based company has the expertise and capability to deliver these leading edge services."
Commenting on the success of business continuity services, he said: "A solid business continuity plan will help any organisation to safeguard their business against disruption, whilst also contributing to the development and management of the business as a whole."
