New deal saves Beverley jobs

A subsidiary of Catfoss Group has acquired the rights and assets of a Yorkshire manufacturing firm, saving around 26 jobs at the Beverley site.
Yorkshire Marine Containers (YMCL) was sold by its administrators to ECO Modular Living, which recycles and refurbishes modular buildings for the UK and international market.
YMCL manufactures and designs purpose built containers for serving the refuse, special waste and power generation industries. The firm was established in 1976 and is owned by entrepreneur Andrew Foreman.
John Sumpton and Liz Bingham of Ernst & Young took the roles of joint administrators of YMCL on November 6. They were advised by Pinsent Masons in Leeds, led by Matthew Brown and Claire Sharf.
Mr Sumpton said: "We received a substantial amount of interest in the business and are delighted to have completed the sale of this long-established business which will preserve the employment of the remaining 26 employees. We wish them well for the future."
