A Yorkshire food company is set to expand nationally after it received a funding boost.
Delicious Alchemym, based in Sheffield, produces gluten and lactose-free products for hotels, restaurants and caterers and has received £15,000 from the South Yorkshire Investment Fund.
The company plans to use the money to get its products into national supermarkets.
Emma Killilea, managing director of Delicious Alchemy, stated: "This expansion into supermarkets, while maintaining our success in restaurants and hotels, is a fantastic opportunity for us."
Ms Killilea claimed that the company was one of the leading providers of lactose and gluten-free foods in the UK and revealed that the business began operations in December 2006.
She had previously studied food science and marketing at Sheffield Hallam University and is also a board member of Creative Sheffield.
In recent news, Google joined forces with Creative Sheffield to give local businesses the opportunity to increase their visibility and e-marketing investment returns with free online seminars.
