Yorkshire residents to share Sevenstone views
Mittwoch, 29 Oktober 2008
Residents of Sheffield are being invited to share their views on the new £600 million Sevenstone retail development.
The city council recently received details for block three of the project, which will run from Barkers Pool to Cross Burgess Street and will lead on to a new pedestrian only street.
It will also feature 3 retail levels and up to up to three residential floors.
"We're really keen that Sheffield people take a look at these proposals and tell us what they think of the planned buildings and designs," said Ian Auckland, cabinet member for sustainable development and transport at Sheffield city council.
"Sevenstone is a very important development for Sheffield."
People can look at details on the proposal and make their comments online at the council's website, or residents can go to First Point in the city centre.
Council leader John Scriven recently announced that the council was to adopt a "bottom up approach" with Sheffield people actively involved in decisions, via such bodies as the new community assemblies.
